As visiting professor of Intercultural Theology, the Faculty welcomes Prof. Dr. Heidi Campbell for the summer semester. Prof. Campbell focuses on technology, religion and digital culture. In Bonn, she will offer a seminar on "From Digital Religion to Digital Theology: Understanding Religion in a Technological Society". In October, Prof. Dr. Raimundo Barreto from Princeton Theological Seminary will be at the Protestant Theological Faculty as an International Fellow. He already visited Bonn for last years' conference "What Does Theology Do, Actually?" and has subsequently invited a group of researchers and students from Bonn for the World Christianity Conference in Princeton in March this year.
From 1 April to 30 June, Prof. Dr. Anne Gudme from the University of Oslo will be a Humboldt-Stipendiat at Bonn University. She works on hospitality in the Hebrew Bible. From 8 to 12 May, the Old Testament Department looks forward to a visit from Prof. Dr. Hindy Najman, University of Oxford.
From 17 to 29 April, the New Testament Department welcomes Prof. Dr. Ilaria Ramelli from Italy. Prof. Ramelli will focus on Late Antique and Christian Philosophy. From 8 to 21 October, Prof. Dr. Amy-Jill Levine from the US with a research focus on Jewish Studies plans to stay in Bonn, as well as Prof. Dr. Jay Geller, also from the US. Last but not least, Dr. Ruben Bühler will join the Faculty of Protestant Theology in Bonn for two years, starting in October 2023. He will work on the New Testament and Ancient Judaism.
